Dragons are fundamentally independent creatures.

That is partly because they can handle most things on their own, but also because living for a long time causes unchanging convictions and stubbornness to take root within them.

Dragons capable of casually blowing away several mountains the moment they happened to fight had decided to live scattered apart in order to prevent conflicts before they began.

In fact, even if they lived together, they spent most of their time asleep.

Whether they gathered together or not, their way of life would not change.

However, the situation had changed recently.

As Arbeda's true identity was revealed, the existence of a dragon princess became known to dragonkind.

The dragons were greatly delighted to learn that their race was not walking toward extinction and that a dragon like a granddaughter had appeared.
