He spoke to the master, moving his expression freely as if he couldn't understand at all, or as if something unsettling remained even though he had solved it.
"Hmm. This might be an impolite question, but have you perhaps gone on a trip recently, or bought anything from abroad?"
The master asked with a serious expression in response to Jinseong's question.
"Why do you ask such a thing?"
"Ah, it's nothing much."
Jinseong burst into a hearty laugh as if to say not to be tense, seeing the master's serious expression, and then waved his hand and spoke in a slightly higher tone.
"Mana isn't a commonly used power. It's something you might see in places like Polynesia or South America. And as you know, such places are famous tourist destinations because they're warm and have a lot to see, right?"
"That's right."
"Sometimes people go to such places and buy something as a souvenir, and it turns out to be a cursed object. Especially cursed objects made in Polynesia often take the form of small sculptures made of wood, horn, or stone."
His voice sounded as if it was nothing special. However, his expression had a very slight awkwardness as if he was deliberately smiling, and the fact that he wasn't looking directly into the master's eyes seemed to subtly show that his words were empty talk...
