“Volks was even more satisfying, though. He was built like a mountain, but when he was grabbed by the armpit and rolled around, he looked like a child throwing a tantrum.”

Perhaps it was a reaction to the gloomy atmosphere they had endured, but the City Dignitaries drank and feasted like mad.
“What a bunch of idiots!”
Panis's cheeks trembled as he watched the scene.
It was indeed a banquet celebrating Boneyard's victory. However, Eugene should have been the undisputed protagonist. Wasn't he the Knight who appeared in the city's hour of crisis and defeated all the enemies?
This was separate from his personal goodwill. Honoring a hero who had bestowed such a favor was a matter tied to the city's dignity.
It infuriated him to see the very people who should have been most enthusiastically serving Eugene instead reveling among themselves...
