Chapter 70. Unintentional Farce (2)

Offerings and tithes.

These two terms are familiar, having seen them so often.

Tithes are one-tenth of a Goddess Sect follower's income offered to the denomination.

Offerings are the Church of the Goddess's way of squeezing money from its followers every time they hold Mass.

Birth offerings, safe childbirth offerings, Sunday offerings, Thanksgiving offerings, birthday offerings, etc. They extort money using all sorts of ridiculous pretexts.

In our Ulranor Kingdom, I've recently implemented reforms to moderate this practice, but the Holy Nation is likely still the same as before.

Anyway, it's a given that churches receive these funds. The problem was the words that followed.

"External assets?"

As far as I know... that term refers to wealth acquired externally, not owned by the company or organization itself.

A denomination shouldn’t own anything besides religious facilities or farms for food self-sufficiency. Anything else is corruption...
