“… All right! Then we’ll take a short commercial break. We have a surprise guest in Part 2, so please be sure to listen. I’m also getting questions about who it is. It would be a little unfair to tell you right away, so I’ll leave that pleasure for a little later. Some of you have already guessed who it is. Yes! We’ll take a commercial break now!”

The first part of the broadcast ended without incident. Sugyeong came out after opening the door and spoke to Myeongjeon.

“This next song is a little long, so you can go in and get set up.”

“Understood.”

Once he went in with his guitar slung over his shoulder, an engineer and a staff member came in to help him set up. This connects here, and that one there… Once the pedalboard and guitar he had brought were connected without a hitch, Myeongjeon lightly strummed the guitar. It wasn’t a completely satisfying sound, but it was still more than good enough.

“Now, it’s time to introduce today’s guest. Everyone, did you know that 2024 is the founding year of rock? Ahaha, I’m joking. Nothing particularly happened in 2024. But it’s certainly a year that could bring about a seismic shift in Korean rock…”

Choi Sugyeong read through an introduction of grandiose proportions. Myeongjeon looked at her while hiding his bafflement. It seemed like only yesterday that she had gone on television once, then bawled, “There’s no one in show business who doesn’t pay lip service!” But before he knew it, she had grown into someone who could say things like that with a straight face.

“Receiving the expectations of countless rock listeners! The much-talked-about band Group Sound! …And! Their guitarist, vocalist, and leader… guitarist Ha Suyeon!”

“Nice to meet you. I’m guitarist Ha Suyeon.”

“Ah~ Nice to meet you. I’m singer Choi Sugyeong! Have you ever heard any of my songs?”...
