The Cursed Pirate

Jean-Jacques Dufan had originally been a famous pirate.

He and his comrades sailed the Seven Seas, and their pirate fleet knew the habits of the sea beasts, the rulers of the ocean, so well that they were invincible. They skillfully evaded the navies of every country, amassed mountains of treasure, and enjoyed the finest days of their lives.

But glory never lasts forever. The pirate crew was captured by a witch in the Ghost Archipelago of the Arabian Sea, subjected to evil magic, and cursed.

The powerful curse bound Jean-Jacques. No matter how desperately he summoned his willpower, he could not stop his own body from presenting to the witch the treasure he had painstakingly accumulated over many years.

For as many years as they had spent roaming the seas freely, the pirate crew was forced to ravage the ocean in servitude as the terrifying witch's minions.

Another turning point came with an old gentleman.

The witch fell in love at first sight with the old man who called himself Hatobat. She purred and clung to him like a female cat in heat, abandoned everything, and disappeared with him.

Jean-Jacques was stunned.

Could a witch who had bound them so powerfully and made them her eternal prisoners really disappear so easily?

For a while, his ingrained slave mentality whispered that the witch might return and kept Jean-Jacques on the Ghost Archipelago, but she never came back...
