Every Sunday, Aoyama Kotone has her regular maintenance appointment.

Today, too, Aoyama Kotone arrived at the magic sword workshop right on time, accompanied by her older sister.

"Good morning. I'm in your care today, Dairi-sensei."

"Good morning, Sensei. These are mandarins picked nearby. Please have some."

The sisters, both wearing matching masks, greeted me politely.

The Blue Witch held out a little cardboard box of mandarins, a precious commodity now, so I scratched my head.

Even though I kept telling her that we had enough food, medicine, and clothing, she was always eager to send me gifts.

Was she grateful that I had prolonged her sister's life? Or was she trying to curry favor so I would continue examining her sister properly?

I couldn't tell, and it was a little unsettling.
