A Cheap Deal

The current Mage of Foresight, Talit, was at a loss.

Talit had promised Dr. Oori that he would live as selfishly as he pleased, for his own sake.

Having spent his life suffering because others forced their circumstances upon him, he would now force his own circumstances upon others and live selfishly. Only then could Talit finally make his own life truly his own.

However, after ten years as a prisoner, Talit had become terribly inept at being selfish.

He had spent his life thinking either of his master or of his little sister.

He had lived solely for someone else's sake.

He no longer understood how to live for himself.

Talit did not know what he wanted to do for his own sake.

After safely returning the two girls who had been made into experimental subjects like his sister to their parents, Talit found himself at a complete loss.
