A flash of light burst, and one side of the trench was smashed apart.

The five soldiers desperately working their bolts were blown into the air, then came crashing down like fish leaping out of water.

After their bodies shuddered a few times, the soldiers stopped moving altogether.

Everyone froze at the shocking sight.

"Shoot, shoot! I said shoot! Fire everything we've got!"

At the commander's desperate shout, the soldiers began firing once more. Even as they trembled, they worked their bolts frantically, their desperation palpable.

But the tanks simply continued forward without the slightest pause.

Ping- Ting- Tang-

The sound of bullets ricocheting. Tiny sparks bursting from the armor plates. That was all they could accomplish...
