A Savior Is a Relative Concept

"Have you had anything good happen lately?"

As I was cleaning up after my shift, the guy who ran the place—my boss—came over with a grin and asked me that.

Even though the bar was downtown, there hadn't been many customers lately, so on weekdays it was just the two of us running the place.

I was doing work that was practically on the level of a business partner now, and even getting paid for it, so we got along pretty well.

I did wonder why a bar was only open until the evening instead of staying open at night, though.

"Why? All of a sudden?"

"No reason. You just seem to be smiling a lot lately. I figured maybe something good had happened."

"It's nothing, Hyung."
