Vol. 10 Ch. 10: A Desperate Gambit

The moment a tremendous explosion sounded in the distant sky, everyone looked up.

"Hey, what's that!?"

The first to cry out was Count Mare, a guest from Falfhoria.

A moment later, Count Barrow murmured, "A wyvern?"

But those with keen eyes quickly realized that the black shadow was clearly larger than a wyvern—that is, it was a higher-order species.

As the guests murmured, "A dragon! A dragon's appeared!" Felix calmly addressed them all.

"Please remain calm. From what I can tell, it doesn't appear to be approaching us. Still, let's return to the rest area, just in case. The ladies may be growing anxious."

Felix's calm words seemed to settle the group somewhat.

But Monica clutched the front of her robe, gripped by an unpleasant premonition.

The explosive sound she had heard earlier had come from a fire-based attack spell. Nero couldn't use that kind of magic, so Glenn was probably the one who had cast it...
