Doing My Actual Job

I was visiting the Northpole Barony, whose baron had helped me out in various ways in the past.

Apparently, black wolves and goblins had been appearing frequently in the barony.

The only people in the barony who could fight were the baron and Nyanyasu, the beastman.

They were clearly short on fighting strength, and if anything happened to the baron, the residents would be left with nowhere to turn.

So I decided to lend a hand.

The baron had sworn his loyalty to Amaranthus as a knight, so he was unquestionably one of my allies.

I had no choice but to help him.

Our force was comparable to that of an entire nation’s army, while our opponents were black wolves and goblins.

The fight was over in no time, and we found the monsters’ lair, too.

We trapped them inside, attacked with poison gas, then filled in the hole with heavy machinery...
